unreasonable?

I work full time, Marks in the Navy so his hours vary daily since he’s not on a sea command right now. He’s usually home between 12 and 2. Even when he’s on 2nd shift he’s home by 5. I don’t get home till 5:15-5:30 because I always have to pick up Nicole (not to mention drop her off) Mark has been complaining constantly that he is the one always making dinner. Fine I’ll make it every other night. No that doesn’t seem to be good enough for him. I don’t get where I’m being unreasonable by asking him to make dinner since he is almost always home before I am and Nicole is usually starving when we get home. He doesn’t do a lot around the house so I’m usually the one doing the cleaning and laundry. The only thing that is primarily his responsibility is mowing the lawn. All he does when he gets home from work is nap. I wish I could nap when I get home from work but I have a child, house and 2 dogs that need my attention. If I wasn’t working, I wouldn’t have a problem with making dinner most of the time. I’m getting tired of being complained at that he is making dinner all the time. Am I being unreasonable?

where is 2010 going!?

I can't believe how fast this year is going by! It's already August!
Mark tests for first class again next month, all fingers crossed he makes it. He only missed it by 10 points on the exam he took in March. Mark and I have been so busy the last month between work, Nicole, home and doing stuff with friends. We've been spending alot of time out on the boat which is nice. We also went out to Michigan for about a week in July to visit Mark's family since most of them haven't met Nicole yet and it had been 2 years since I had been out there. It was nice to relax, even better to come home but going back to work sucked.
We recently put hardwood floors in the living room and hallway. They look amazing instead of that ugly carpet. We want to put hardwood in the game/family room too but that's going to be a huge project since the room is 26ft x 26ft.
Nicole is growing up so fast. She's already 1 1/2! She still amazes us everyday.
Jess and I saw Maroon 5 at Mohegan Sun on August 1st. They are A-MAZ-ING! Loved the show and can't wait for the new album.

June already!?

I can't get over that it's June already.
Well on Friday we got the results from Mark taking the first class exam back in March, he missed first class by 10 points! He can take the test again in September and we should know by December I think whether he made it or not.
We had alot of fun fishing. Jess ended up catching the first fish. I caught 2 and so did just about everyone else. The striper was alot of fun to get in the boat. They fight hard! But they are oh so good to eat! We ended up eating the fish the night after the charter. Striper is really really good! I really can't wait to go fishing again.
Nicole is amazing me everyday (even when she is cranky) It's so hard to believe she'll be 1 1/2 next month!
Not much else going on with us. Been super busy with work and home and friends and everything else.

Can't believe we're already over halfway through May already! Seems like 2010 is flying by! Nicole is growing so fast, she amazes me everyday. So whats been going on with us?
Mark and I had a minor blip in our relationship but we'll get over it. It seems like our relationship is better now than before so maybe its a good thing we had a blip.
We went and bought a new couch last weekend since the dogs have destroyed the one we have. They better not destroy this one! I may have to hurt them if they do. What's great is it matches the recliner we already have.
This coming Saturday Mark and I are going fishing on a fishing charter with our friends Jess and Dan. That should be fun. I'm sure they'll be upset if I catch the first fish again :) ooops!

oh boy

Mark had a dream that our next child will be a boy, he dreamt Nicole was a girl before I had the gender ultrasound so we'll see if he is actually right again whenever we try again. Oh and his aunt had a dream that Nicole was a girl and that I was going to have a boy next too.

another week

So Mark's been working at Dicks for over a week now. I forgot how hard it is doing everything myself. I think I got quite a bit accomplished this weekend considering I had to take care of Nicole and had no one to entertain her so I could get stuff done.
We finally got our tax return in the bank account. That will take a little load off my shoulders for now.
I finished the 2nd book in Nora Roberts Bride Quartet series. Now I have to wait for the 3rd one to come out. I think it's due to come out on the 27th? I'm not a fan of Nora Roberts but this might just change that.
I started making a bucket list. I'm about halfway done. Still have a long ways to go but I'll get it done and post it once its done.
Physical therapy for my back is going good. I'm starting to get a little relief from it but I'm still having my bad days (or weekends like this past one). I'll be happy when there is no more back pain!

pen pal

So I've been lurking around on 20sb.net for about 3 weeks or so now. I saw someone made a thread about penpals and wanting one. I haven't had a penpal since high school. I figured why the hell not. It'll give me something to do that I haven't done in awhile. So I decided to leave messages on a few people's pages to see if they wanted to be penpals. let's just say

this weekend is not one I wish to repeat anytime soon. I'm not going to go into details for the privacy of my relationship but I was stupid and I screwed up which I am more than willing to admit. The only thing I'll offer up is that I need to work on communicating with Mark more. Maybe it's time to try the Love Dare again...

Friday night my friend Jess came over and she dyed my hair for me. It's now a dark brown red color. I need to get a picture of it. I really like it. I think it suits me really well.
Saturday I went for my physical therapy consult, he really thinks he can help my back which is a huge plus. I'm going 3 times a week to start out and going from there. Huge plus is there is NO COST!
Sunday Mark, Nicole and I went up to visit my gramma. She is not doing well. She has psoriasis of the liver which is weird because she doesn't drink at all and never has. She hasn't been eating and has been sleeping alot. I have a feeling it won't be too much longer till she is gone. It was really tough for me seeing her that way. She basically raised me and is like a mother to me.
Oy I'm sure it's going to be a long week too.

This is the first Monday in 3 weeks that it hasn't been raining. Thank goodness for that! This area sure does not need anymore rain!
Got a great deal on diapers this weekend at CVS. 2 packs of Huggies Little Movers and a 20 oz Sprite for under $5 plus $5 in ECB back so basically free! I'm starting to switch Nicole to the Huggies Little Movers as they tend to hold more (esp overnight) and they have much better coupons than Pampers.
Nicole has been super cranky lately. I think she's cutting quite a few teeth including molars. It probably hasn't been helping that she has been crying herself to sleep lately because she just doesn't want to go down for bed. Nothing has changed in her routine so I'm not sure of the issue. Hopefully it gets better soon.
Overall it was a good weekend. We enjoyed the weather. Mark and I went for a ride on the bike, I had forgotten how much fun it was to be on the back of a bike. I haven't been on one in almost 2 years.
